If a host location is listed on our site, that means the host location is active. However, they may not be available to host guests every day of the year.  Hosts can block out days or weeks that they are not available.

Each host is also able to set their preferences for their window of accepting stays, ranging from 30 -180 in advance. Most of our hosts use the default number of 90 days in advance.  If a Host's calendar is grayed out in the future, their window may not be open yet and you will need to check back at a later time.   


While on the host location page on the website, click on the "Date of Stay" box located right above the orange "Request to Stay" button to see their availability. Here you can see the dates that they are available to host (in black) versus the hosts they are unavailable (in light grey).
